| Just three weeks before Jazz Fest, “Big Chief” Theodore Emile “Bo” Dollis was in the
hospital with friends at relatives coming to say goodbye to him. But
miraculously, he recovered. Doctors admitted it wasn't anything they
did. Maybe it was just the thought of missing Jazz Fest. The
Chief made some great music with his Wild Magnolias Mardi Gras Indians!
Then he invited everyone to a Jazz Fest Closing Party at his new club, Handa
Wanda's!
